Terms of Service & Sale

1. Purpose

These Terms of Service & Sale (“Terms”) govern:

  1. Use of the website insidepanama.com (article reading, newsletter signup, contact form)
  2. Purchase of consulting services (video sessions, audits, personalized engagements)
  3. Purchase of digital products (PDF guides, checklists, templates) via Gumroad

Using the site or making any purchase implies full acceptance of these Terms.

Site usage implies tacit acceptance of these Terms. Any purchase requires explicit acceptance (checkbox at Lemon Squeezy or Gumroad checkout).

Inside Panama reserves the right to modify these Terms. The last update date appears at the top. For ongoing contracts, the version applicable is the one in force on the day of acceptance.

4. Site usage (Terms of Use)

4.1 Free editorial content

The editorial content (articles, comparisons, tools, calculators) is free to all readers. No registration required.

4.2 Intellectual property

All content (articles, photos, illustrations, source code) is the property of Inside Panama (LAS FUNDADORAS HERMANAS S.A.) or respective authors (Wikimedia Commons photos under CC-BY or CC-BY-SA, attribution at article foot).

5.1 Service description

Inside Panama offers 4 consulting packages, detailed on /shop:

5.2 Purchase process

  1. Choose a package on /shop
  2. Click “Book” → redirect to the Lemon Squeezy checkout (HTTPS, PCI-DSS Level 1)
  3. Enter payment info and explicitly accept these Terms
  4. Payment processed by Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record) — Inside Panama stores no card data
  5. Confirmation email within 5 minutes
  6. Inside Panama replies within 48 business hours (Panama time, GMT-5) with a Calendly link

5.3 Delivery times

If a deadline can’t be met, we notify you with a new proposed date.

5.4 Pricing

Prices are listed in USD excl. tax on /shop. EU VAT is collected and remitted automatically by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record (B2C): EU customers see VAT applied at their local rate at checkout, Inside Panama receives the net amount. For B2B buyers with a valid intra-EU VAT number, the LS checkout applies the reverse charge automatically.

5.5 EU right of withdrawal (art. 16(a) Directive 2011/83/EU)

⚠️ For EU residents:

You have 14 days from contract conclusion to exercise your right of withdrawal EXCEPT if service has begun with your express consent.

In practice: if you book a Calendly slot and the video happens, the right of withdrawal is extinguished. If you change your mind before the session, write to conseil@insidepanama.com for cancellation and full refund within 7 days.

5.7 Liability limitation

Inside Panama provides advice based on its founders’ field experience, NOT legal, tax, or medical advice. Recommendations are indicative. For any legal, financial, or medical decision involving risk, the client commits to consulting a licensed local professional (Panamanian attorney, certified accountant, doctor).

Inside Panama’s liability is strictly limited to the amount paid for the service. No compensation is due beyond that, in any circumstance.

6. Digital product sales

6.1 Description and delivery

Digital products (PDF guides, checklists, templates) are sold via Gumroad. Access is immediate post-payment (download link by email within 60 seconds).

6.2 EU right of withdrawal

For digital goods, you explicitly waive your withdrawal right once you’ve downloaded the file (Gumroad checkbox required before purchase). If the file is defective or doesn’t match the description, contact conseil@insidepanama.com within 14 days for refund.

Each digital product purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license. You may:

Inside Panama occasionally earns affiliate commissions when you click partner links (Wise, Skyscanner, Tower Bank, etc.). It doesn’t change the price for you. Affiliate links are flagged per the Affiliate Disclosure.

Inside Panama NEVER recommends a service solely because it’s affiliated. Recommendations are based on Jade and Natasha’s verified field experience.

Data processing is governed by our Privacy Policy, GDPR-compliant (EU 2016/679) and Panama Law 81 of 2019.

9. Disputes and applicable law

9.1 Applicable law

These Terms are governed by Panamanian law (company’s registered office). For EU consumers, mandatory provisions of their national consumer law (notably FR Code de la consommation) apply in parallel.

9.2 Pre-litigation mediation

In case of dispute, the client agrees to first contact legal@insidepanama.com for amicable resolution. Inside Panama responds within 30 days.

10. Force majeure

Inside Panama is exempted from liability in case of force majeure (natural disaster, major network outage, armed conflict, pandemic). For prolonged force majeure, ongoing contracts may be suspended or cancelled without compensation.
