When to go
Morning (8:30-11 am) for light + bearable temperatures. Avoid noon to 3 pm (crushing heat, zero shade). Combinable with Costa del Este (adjacent) or en route to Casco Viejo.

- Not walkable from the center. On site: 2 km on foot, flat, plan 1.5-2h.

They're complementary sites: Panamá Viejo = ruins of the first city (1519-1671). Casco Viejo = rebuilt city 1673 after the sack. Ideally both in the same trip.
Wheelchair accessible?
Partially. Main paths are practicable but uneven. Cathedral tower is not accessible (narrow stairs).
