When to go
Early morning (6:30-9 am) to see wildlife (animals active at dawn). Avoid noon to 3 pm (heat). Dry season (Dec-Apr) = trails practicable. Wet season (May-Nov) = mud + mosquitoes but lush vegetation.

Mirador (Sendero Cienaguita, 1.5 km)
Steep slope at the end to reach the mirador. 360° view of the city and the Canal. Count 1.5h round trip.
Birdwatching
